WILDERNESS COOKING IN THE HOME

This book started out many years ago with the idea of cooking in the wilderness. Liking the outdoors as I do, I started thinking just how this book could be written and how it could please everyone.

This recipe collection is dedicated to my mother. My recipes for beaver, venison and the famous Maine moose will solve your dilemma and cries of, "How will I fix it". This is exactly what I use to say.

A "Second Edition" of Joyce's Wilderness Cooking now has a Dessert section and includes her famous "Fiddlehead Cake". Using "Native Maine Products", she has added highbush cranberry pudding, bread and sauces, apple squares, rasberry bars, blueberry coffee cake, blueberry "buckle" and sauces, venison kisses, mincemeat cookies made with moose or deer meat, fiddlehead quiche, fiddlehead sweet kisses and dandelion supreme.
